What is the Maastricht Forum?
The Maastricht Forum is the residents’ panel of the municipality of Maastricht. Nearly 5,000 residents make their voices heard on current topics through online surveys. In 2023, we asked about neighbourhood liveability, cycling in the city centre, the importance of churches and places of worship and the use of local news media, among other things. Click here for an overview of recent surveys.
Who is it for?
All residents aged 16 and older can register. Whether you often have to deal with the municipality or only occasionally, there are probably things that stand out for you. The only conditions are that you live in Maastricht and that you have an e-mail address. Even if someone in your household is already a member, you can still register.
How can I give my opinion?
As a panel member you are invited to give your opinion on topics that concern the municipality several times a year. You will receive an email with a link to an online survey. You can decide for yourself whether you fill this in. Participation in a survey is always voluntary. It is possible to skip a survey, for example if you are on holiday. You can always unsubscribe from the Maastricht Forum.
How about privacy?
The team Research & Statistics of the municipality of Maastricht carries out the surveys. Answers to survey questions are processed anonymously. Answers will not be traced back to persons in any analysis or report. You can find more information on the privacy page
What happens with my answers?
The answers of all panel members together form the opinion of the residents of Maastricht. The municipality uses this information to solve problems in a more targeted way or to better shape policy.
